A day at the museum by AndreeWallin A day at the museum by AndreeWallin
A few weeks ago me and Levente paid a visit to The tower of London, and while looking at some of these old armours and weapons I knew that I wanted to make a concept on the same theme, but I didn't want to make another fight scene. So a couple of days ago I finally got the idea to make a clean and stylish museum concept where I could include some of these things, but as it turned out I focused most of my energy on making the room look nice than having loads of armours and stuff.
This is done from scratch without any photo refs or plates, which means it took a little longer than usual (two days). On the other hand it's really great practice. The lightning was a bitch on this one and could, as always, be better/more realistic. But my only concern with these pieces is that they look good as a whole and that they deliver the atmoshpere, the right look and the feeling of presence.

I saved the process for it and I'm gonna try and make a decent tutorial out of it.

Thanks, and have a nice weekend folks!

i think what grabbed me the most here was how well you made it applied the lighting, giving it that beautiful greytone.

I love the friendly emptiness in museums, with the sun shining through the windows. Reminds me of when I was a kid visiting museums with my dad. You captured that essence so perfectly.

That is some insane lighting! My first impressions were "photograph". Probably down to beatiful lighting, spot-on reflections, perfect colours and the perspective.

Fantastic! :)

As so often, you really nailed the lighting. I love how calm this place looks. I feel invited to wander through the museum, marvel at the objects, perhaps sit down and draw them. Love how you used textures and indicated lighting and reflections.

Truly well done, Andree :D
